    • Sarah Ann Van Hook - 1825 - 1890. Wife of John Henry Van Hook.
      Born Sarah Ann Bledsoe on September 15, 1825 in TN. Married John Henry Van Hook 1818, NC - 1868, TN) on October 3, 1844 in Shelby Co., TN. The couple was listed in Shelby County in the 1850 (p. 205) and 1860 (p. 374) census records. The had the following children: Isaac Henry (1847 - 1849), William Brown (1849 - 1911), Elizabeth (1849 - may be the same as Nancy Elizabeth; however, listed in 1850 census as twin of William), Nancy Elizabeth (1852 - 1907), Robert Benjamin (1854 - 1895), Margaret Jane (see below), Mary Bledsoe (see below), John Henry, Jr. (1860 - 1947), Stonewall Jackson (1862 - 1925), Edward Lee (see above), Mittie Choate (1867 - 1906). John died on February 16, 1868. Sarah and children are listed in the 1870 (p. 323) and 1880 (p. 301) Shelby County Census records. She died July 9, 1890. Children William B., Robert B., John H., Jr., and Stonewall Jackson Van Hook are all buried in Edmondson Cemetery, DeSoto County.
