Lewis A. was born June 1,1847 in Robertson County, Kentucky. His father was William B. Downtain and his mother Charlotte M. Burgress. Susan E. was born Dec. 14,1850 in Kentontown,Ky. They had 10 children Lucinda,William Burgress,Charlotte Mary,Betty Lucretia,Oscar Donald,Charles Henry,Harry Lee,George G., Ethel, and Ruby Downtain.The first 4 were born in Mt. Olivet,Ky. Oscar in Browning,Mo. Then Charles in Sullivan County,Mo. The last 4 in Kiowa,Ks. Can't find any information on the Downtains past 1847. Please help. In Charles' birth record in Sullivan County, MO on 7 Oct 1883 it gives his mother's (Susan's) birthplace as Harrison Co., KY
