      Mrs. Cordilia McCAULEY VanHOOK, wife of Mr. Jeff VanHOOK, well known citizens residing near Oddville, died at her late residence yesterday, June 19, at 12:50 P.M.. Mrs. VanHOOK, while in poor health for some time, was not confined to her bed until last Friday, June 13th. Her death was due to a complication of diseases.

      Deceased was born in this county on September 26, 1880, and was the daughter of Mrs. Mollie MccCAULEY and the late Joseph McCAULEY, who died January 19th, 1929. Mrs. McCAULEY has resided in Cynthiana on Miller Street since the death of Mr. McCAULEY. On December 21, 1906, Cordelia McCAULEY was united in marriage to Mr. Jeff VanHOOK, who survives with two daughters, Misses Mary and Alice Moore VanHOOK, both of whom reside at home. Besides her mother she is also survived by five brothers, Mr. Carl McCAULEY, of Milroy, Ind; Mr. Jesse McCAULEY, of Rushville, Ind.; Mr. Lesley McCAULEY of Fayette County and Messrs, Frazier and Orie McCAULEY, of this county.
      Mrs VanHOOK was a member of the Republican Christian Church, having joined many years ago. She was a woman of lovely Christian character, deepley devoted to her family and friends and her passing will bring sorrow to many.
      The funeral services, conducted by Rev. McGarvey LENOX of Falmouth, assisted by Rev. ROBERTS, pastor of the Oddvillle Church, will be helld Saturday afternoonn, June 21, at 2:00 o'clock at the Salem Church. Burial will be in Battle Grove Cemetery in this city. The pallbearers will be Messrs. Lindsey HEDGES, Ewing HAYS, Clarence FLORENCE, S.D. McCAULEY, Billy McCAULEY and Walter McCAULEY
