Married:
- Family stories indicate that Aaron married a Cherokee woman named "Jemima" or "Gemima" - the widow of a Mr. Gist. Indications of Aaron's sons and grandson's as having "dark complexions" (from their Civil War pension applications) support this "Indian connection" claim, according to family stories.
