Marriage Record of Samuel VanHook to Hannah Trousdale - Harrison Co., KY - 13 May 1794

“Know all men by these Presents that we Samuel Vanhook & Nathan Rawlings are held and firmly bound unto his Excellency the governor of Kentucky or his Successors in the full sum of one hundred pounds to Which payment well & Truly to be made we bind ourselves our heirs Excors (Executors) & Administrators Jointly & Severally by these Presents Sealed with our seals & dated this 13 day of May 1794.

The Condition of the above obligation is such that Whereas William Moore Clerk of Harrison County hath this day Issued License for the Marriage of Samuel Vanhook & Hannah Trousdale now if there is no Lawfull Cause to obstruct sd. Marriage Then the above obligation to be void else remain in Power & Virture given under our hands & seals the Date above Written.”
