Samuel VanHook Jr. Preemption Certificate - 17 Jan 1780, for 400 acres in Kentucky (assigned immediately to Jacob Myers)

Kentucky County Va

We do hereby Certify that Samuel Vanhook junr is entitled to the preemption of Four hundred acres of land at the State price in the District of Kentucky On Account of making an Actual Settlement in the Month of March 1779 lying about one & a half Miles North East of the Buffalo Road leading from Riddles Station to the lower blue licks & about five Miles from the said Station. Given under our hands at Bryants Station on Elkhorn Creek this 17th day of January 1780.
