    • Reginald Dean Vanhook, age 69 of Cave Springs passed away July 25, 2011 at Mercy Hospital in Rogers. He was born April 11, 1942 at Mundell, Arkansas to Lester James Vanhook and Zella Evans Vanhook. He was united in marriage to Gaylene Marchant on December 24, 1960. Reggie retired from Tyson Foods after 38 years as a truck driver and dispatcher. He also served in the National Guard. Reggie loved his family. He enjoyed gardening, reading western novels and watching western movies.

      He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Jimmy Boye Vanhook and Don Vanhook.

      He is survived by his wife Gaylene Vanhook of the home; two sons, Reggie Dwayne Vanhook of Berryville, Darwin Vanhook and wife Teri of Cave Springs; daughter-in-law Denise Vanhook of Berryville; two granddaughters, Amanda Cruikshank and husband Heath of Rogers, Bailey Woods of Centerton; three grandsons, Jesse Vanhook of North Little Rock, Alex Vanhook of Rogers, Beau Bartley of Hale Center, Texas; a great-grandson Cayden Cruikshank of Rogers; a brother, Bill Vanhook and wife Bonnie of Rogers; four sisters Vada Sigmon of Berryville, Shirley Sands and husband Wes of Cave Springs, Patsy Vanhook of Reze, France, Deborah Vanhook of Bentonville; a sister-in-law Carolyn Smith; many nephews and nieces, and a host of other relatives and friends.

      Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church 322 Main Street, Cave Springs with Pastor Gary Brewer officiating. A Visitation will be held on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at the church. Burial will be at the Cave Springs Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cave Springs First Baptist Church for benefit of the Audio/Visual ministry.
