Married:
- William Emory VanHook, youngest child of Samuel VanHook [1007] and Isabella Cox was born September 1841 in Pulaski County, Kentucky, according to information in the 1900 Kentucky census. He was known as "Emory".
William married first Jane Baugh 10 February 1862 in Pulaski County [marriage bonds, book 1, page 185]. The surety was Att. H. Richardson and the witnesses were Elizabeth Baugh, Mahala and A.H. Richardson. The clerk noted on the bond "bride is of age". William and Jane are mentioned in the settlement of his father's estate in 1873 [Pulaski Co., Ky. Deeds, volume 27, page 296]. William received a number of lots from this settlement.
By 1880 William's first wife had died, and he married second Martha J. Vaught on 17 October 1880, also in Pulaski County [marriage bonds, book 15, page 8]. This was the second marriage for both of them. They were married by John Todd at William's home. The surety was J.N. Minton, and the witnesses were J.N. Minton and M.A. Minton. The bond had been purchased 4 days earlier. (On this marriage bond it shows both of William's parents as being born in Virginia)
William died sometime after 1910 as he appears in the census for that year. His daughter Artimace (Artie) and her daughter were living with him and his wife at that time.

27 August 1874 - Pulaski Co., Ky., Deeds volume 26, page 66 - W.E. Vanhook grants right of way to Cincinnatti Southern Railway.
30 March 1875 - Pulaski Co., Ky., Deeds volume 27, page 321 - Benjamin L. Vanhook and Permila his wife of Rockcastle County, Ky., sold to W.E. Vanhook of Pulaski Co., 20 acres on Pitmans Creek for $200. Recorded 24 November 1877. (In attest. by David N. Williams, W.E. Vanhook is called "Emery").
28 April 1877 - Pulaski Co., Ky., Deeds volume 27, page 291 - William E. Vanhook and Jane his wife sold to Martin Vanhook 20 acres on Pitman Creek and Stanford Road for $200. Recorded 5 November 1877.
6 March 1877 - Pulaski Co., Ky., birth records - Male child born to William Vanhook and Jane Baught.
